The May issue of House Beautiful features William Yeoward’s American Bar in the Design Book section, along with a lovely quote from the book about William’s fascination with (and passion for) cocktails and cocktail culture.

William Yeoward has written a fabulous book about cocktails!  With impeccable timing, William has managed to have his book and new glassware collection debut together this month!

Filled with delicious recipes and William’s trademark storytelling and sense of humor, this book is sure to please every cocktail aficionado.  With such intriguing names as Horse’s Neck, The Gilded Cage and Hanky Panky, who can resist these luscious libations?

Here is a sneak peak at a new collection of mouth-blown glass from William Yeoward Crystal called American Bar!

This collection evokes the Roaring ‘20’s and the era of Prohibition that followed, when many of the most brilliant American bartenders set up shop in European cities, including at the Savoy Hotel’s ‘The American Bar’ in London.   In fact, many other chic hotel bars of that period in cities like London and Paris were known as “American bars”.

Named after famous actresses of the era such as Lillian Gish and Marlene Deitrich, this collection reflects the glamour of this by-gone era.  These glasses and barware pieces make you want to have a couple cocktails and cut a rug!

During an unseasonably warm January Gift Show, we were excited about some new items, including new colors in Sophie vases, and an entirely new line of bar ware called William Yeoward American Bar!  

With daffodils and daisies in the Showroom, and 60-degree temps outside, we couldn’t help but dream of Spring!

Check out some of William Yeoward’s Bone China, in a food feature in this month’s issue of Virginia Living, that’s all about preparing wild game.  The story is entitled “A Walk on the Wild Side”, and these images are wildly beautiful!

Carrots are the perfect compliment to the Avington Charger in Peking Orange.

Our Avington Charger in Apple Green is set with braised rabbit.  A Hortense Placemat in Corn sits behind the plate.
