WILLIAM YEOWARD CRYSTAL

As featured in the June issue of British House & Garden, a manor house in Wiltshire in the UK has been lovingly restored and updated using wonderful antiques and art of the Georgian period (18th and early 19th centuries), along with a few carefully curated pieces from today that are inspired by that period.  We were happy to find that our Rosa Beehive Centerpiece was included in this selection.

Here is a closer look at the Rosa Beehive in this stately dining room.  This home is owned by John & Diane Nutting.  Diane is the chair of The Georgian Group, which is “consulted by public bodies on matters affecting listed buildings, and gives grants and advice on all matters Georgian”.  William Yeoward Crystal’s designs are inspired by the Georgian period - the Rosa Beehive is a fine example of a design that is centuries old but can still look so fresh and unexpected.

And here is Rosa filled with lemons during a recent market week in the New York Showroom.  So fun!

Thomas Pheasant works his magic in this circa-1900 shingled cottage in the Hamptons.  The enchanting gardens served as an inspiration for the interiors, as seen below in the blossoming dogwood on plasterwork on the ceiling, echoed by verdant branches in William Yeoward Crystal’s Cornelia Vase.  It’s a clever way of bringing the outdoors in!

Below is our stunning and stately Cornelia Vase - a beautiful piece evocative of Grecian urns.

Here is a close up of the dining room table, featuring stemware by William Yeoward Crystal in Fern and Olympia patterns.

And here is the Olympia stemware suite.  The Red Wine (3rd from left) and White Wine (5th from left) glasses are seen on the table above.  Mixing these plain glasses with patterned Fern glasses works well to create a timeless look that is neither too sterile nor overwrought.  Beautifully done!

On the veranda (appropriate considering the publication), our Fanny Blue Goblets make a second appearance in this months issue of Veranda.  The blue glasses playfully tie in with the aquas and blues of the pool and the hydrangeas.

In the May-June issue of Veranda, Dallas-based designers (and sisters) Kelli Ford & Kirsten Fitzgibbons have refreshed a breezy beach vacation home in Southampton that Kelli and her husband bought a couple of years ago.

Working with a lot of cheerful color (but avoiding beach house cliches) Kirsten and Kelli incorporate our William Yeoward Country Fanny Blue Goblets on the table below in a light and airy breakfast room.  So pretty and inviting!

And here are the Fanny Goblets, also available in Amber, Amethyst and Green as shown from left to right.  These Goblets also come in Clear.  Our Fanny stemware has a simple shape with just enough classic detail to make it special.  Perfect for your casual tables at your beach home or summer cottage, but versatile enough to work with your best China!

The renowned interior designer Alex Papachristidis stopped by the William Yeoward Crystal showroom to have a chat with Tori Mellot of Traditional Home about entertaining during the Spring Tabletop Show.  Alex showcased his favorite glass for serving casual cocktails, our Olympia Bordeaux glass.  When Alex and Scott entertain, they pour generous servings of their favorite cocktail so that they needn’t be constantly refilling their guests’ glasses.   A brilliant idea!

Food & Wine has released it’s annual cocktail book, and William Yeoward Crystal’s glasses were used to showcase three of the delectable recipes!  All of the gorgeous photographs are by Lucas Allen.

This is not your mother’s cobbler!  The Claire Goblet holds a delightful canteloupe creation called Mother Handsome’s Pineau Cobbler.

Below is the entire Claire stemware suite, including the Flute, Goblet and Large Wine.

Sweet… and sour!  The Black & Copper combines strawberries with balsamic vinegar.  An unexpected combination that looks dramatic in our Davina Coupe.

Here is the lovely Davina Coupe by itself.

Take the Third Left:  this cocktail’s ombre effect couples well with the vertical optic and lean profile of the Corinne Tall Cocktail Tumbler, from William Yeoward Crystal’s American Bar collection.

Here are several Corinne Tumblers: the Beer, Tall Cocktail, and Double Old-Fashioned Tumblers.  Vertical lines are so fashionable!

One of the show houses that Traditional Home features in this month’s issue is the Lake Forest Showhouse.  The lovely breakfast room designed by Liz McEnaney of E Claire Design made the cover, as did William Yeoward Crystal’s Felicity Champagne Flutes and Fern Small Wine Glasses!  See a closer image of the cover below:

Below, Liz shares some of her philosophy on decorating - as she says “Elegance is simplicity”.  That extends from the lovely neutral palette of the room and fabrics, to the details of the table setting, including our stemware. 

The Felicity and Fern stemware patterns are very complementary on a table - Felicity has the same shapes as the Fern stemware, without the Fern pattern cutting on the body of the glasses.  See the Felicity suite in the first image below, followed by the Fern suite.  Felicity is available in a Large Wine, Flute, and Small Wine.  Fern is available in the same sizes, plus the larger Goblet (pictured third from left).

Below are two more images of Honeybee:  one with our signature green Country Collection ribbon, and one shot from above to better show off the cute bees in the lid.  If you look closely, you will see that there are three.  So pretty and fun!

Bloomingdale’s 59th Street hosted a Registry event at the 21 Club near the end of April. Gatsby was the theme, and there was lots of glamour and glitz on the table!

From the William Yeoward Crystal collection, below is the Annette Vase filled with crabapple blossoms and calla lilies, which made for a striking centerpiece.

Annette, pictured below in the 16” height, also comes in 14” and 18” sizes.

Below is the pretty Corinne Champagne Coupe filled with pink Champagne.  Notice how the light catches the vertical optic pattern, creating lovely shadows on the table.  How glamourous!

Here is the Corinne Coupe, accompanied by the Corinne Martini and Corinne Hollow Flute.  There are many stemware and barware glasses to choose from in the Corinne pattern - see more here!  They are all part of William Yeoward Crystal’s beautiful yet affordable American Bar collection.

Finally, here are our Callista Decanter and Kathleen Bottle Stand, which is used here as a snack dish.  Both pieces are part of the Crystal collection.  They look so pretty together on that mirrored tray!

Below is the Kathleen Bottle Stand by itself.  These stands are traditionally used to hold a bottle, but the Kathleen Stand was used in a novel way at this event.

The Knot sponsored this year’s gorgeous tables in the lobby of 41 Madison for the April Tabletop Show.  William Yeoward Crystal’s Lottie Salts were used in a clever way to hold place cards in place on a sleek Deco-inspired table.

Our Classic Frame with Clear glass rods also made an appearance.

Below is the lovely Lottie Salt, which comes with a pretty palmwood spoon.  As The Knot proved, a salt dish can have many uses.  Lottie could also be used as a glamorous votive or tea light holder, or to hold small pieces of jewelry on your vanity or bedside table.  It’s all up to your imagination!

As always, I like to share some photos of the flowers from the Showroom displays with all of my followers after each Tabletop and Gift Show.  Just as Spring was finally coming awake in NYC, we dressed our tables in flowers evoking the Holidays for the buyers.  ’Tis the Season!

The lovely Annette and Constanza vases are dressed up with red roses and tulips and white rosettes in the image below.

Our recently introduced Vita Goblets in four colors add interest to the festive table below.

Our gorgeous and stately Allegra Covered Vases are flanked by Classic frames in two of our latest styles, Light Blue and Satin glass.

Red peonies, tulips and roses add a pop of color to this table, which features our new Gabrielle Candelabras.

One of our Country Collection tables, seen below, features a new pattern in Country giftware called Garland.  Those magenta lilies were marvelous when they fully opened!

Jonathan Savage, a super-talented young designer based in Nashville, featured Iona stemware from William Yeoward Crystal at the first annual O’More College of Design Show House, presented by Traditional Home earlier this month.

Jonathan took very classic table top elements and made them look so fresh and new!

All of the proceeds are going toward a worthy cause - supporting the education of future interior designer students at O’More College of Design.

Below is the Iona Large Goblet, which was featured on this table along with the Iona Small Goblet.  These glasses have a pretty panel cutting detail and unique shape that would add visual interest to any table setting!

William Yeoward Crystal is once again featured in NY Space’s “The Goods” issue - our Vita Tall Cocktail Coupes are the perfect selection for the ”Scale” section, which is all about pieces that have an interest shape or size.  Bring out the liquid cheer at your next event with these coupes!

Since the poor Vita Coupe in Green was cut off, I thought I would show it off in the image below, with it’s Highball and Double-Old Fashioned Tumbler counterparts.  Here’s a toast to the colorful, joy-inducing Vita barware!

Fun and fabulous Brooke Gomez of Gomez & Associates put together a gorgeous table for this year’s Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Gala, featuring many pieces from the William Yeoward Crystal and Country Collections.  With all of the pinks and blues on the table, she transported us to an English Garden in full bloom!

You can see all of the sparkling detail on this delightful table below.  William Yeoward Crystal items include the Caprice Centerpiece and the Felicity Stemware.  Also featured are the whimsical Sophie Vases from our Country Collection in Steel Blue and Wine Red - they were lovely with the soft pinks and whites of the flower arrangements.

Bon Appetit’s fabulous story about refreshing Spring cocktail options includes three great glasses from William Yeoward Crystal!  

The Sherry Pimm’s Cup (above) looks luscious in the Ruth Small Goblet (pictured by itself below).

Spiked Strawberry Lemonade in a Vesta Highball Tumbler (above) - what more could anyone ask for on a warm Spring evening?  (Tumbler pictured below.)

Finally, the intriguing Sweet Pea (above) is served in an equally intriguing glass, the Davina Coupe (pictured below).

We are so excited to be introducing a new pattern in the Country Collection called Garland!  We feature 3 of the vases from this giftware suite in our latest advertisement, which can be seen in the Spring 2013 issue of Flower magazine.

Below is our ad, featuring the 6” Flower Vase (also available in a 9.5” height), and the Footed Flower Vase in 7” and 9” versions.  The simple, elegant vine-and-leaf pattern is very pretty and can work in any decor!

Here are two more pieces in the Garland pattern:  the 8” Salad Bowl and the Flower Center. This is certain to be a very successful pattern, so look for more Garland items in the future!
