William Yeoward Country items featured in ‘flower’

Items from William Yeoward Crystal’s Country Collection found their way into the pages of this month’s flower Magazine.

Below is the Garland Berry Bowl, but it’s not just for berries!  This little bowl is perfect for serving sorbet or ice cream, or even a cold soup.  It’s also a cute bowl for nuts, or even potpourri!

Here is the Garland Berry Bowl solo:

Our friend Michael Devine’s new book An Invitation to the Garden is featured in the “leafing through” section.  Our Amethyst Tumbler, also from the Country Collection, makes an appearance on his whimsical table set for Sunday brunch in the garden.

Below is a closer look at the tablescape…

…and here is the Amethyst Tumbler by itself.  It’s a lovely color and a beautiful shape, suitable for a variety of settings and occasions!

Our Gold Leaf Dishes shine on Darcy’s Desk in Martha Stewart Weddings

image

Darcy Miller, Editorial Director at Martha Stewart Weddings, advises brides to register for the beautiful things they fall in love with, then find ways to use them in everyday settings, such as your desk.

Darcy includes three of William Yeoward Crystal's porcelain Gold Leaf Dishes on the desk below, including (clockwise from top left) the Vine Leaf Dish, the Geranium 3” Leaf Dish and the Carine Dish.

image

Here’s a closer look at these dishes, used here in a fun and inventive way to hold stamps, paperclips and coins.

image

Below is a photo of the Vine Dish by itself.  This dish would be perfect to hold two or three decadent chocolate truffles, or to just set on a dining or coffee table as a pretty object.  How you use these dishes is all up to you!

Harlequine adds Romance in T&C Weddings

image

William Yeoward Crystal's Harlequine Centerpiece Bowl is featured in the Sourcebook section in Town & Country Weddings this Spring.  The theme of this section is hosting a wedding at home, which in this case meant a lovely and grand historic home in the Berkshires.

image

The Harlequine Centerpiece Bowl (pictured below) is a beautiful piece with whimsical engraving and an unusually low profile.  This bowl has a variety of possible uses, from serving a fruit salad or delicious dessert, to holding an arrangement of fresh fruits or vegetables, or even a low flower arrangement.  It would make a fantastic gift for any bride!

image

The Harlequine Centerpiece Bowl (which is 14” in diameter) also has a smaller counterpart, the Harlequine 10” Bowl, pictured on the left below.  Both are so pretty… and practical!

William Yeoward Crystal and fab flowers - Gift Show February 2014

Last week, we wrapped up a great NY Gift Show!  The Showroom was in rare form, and the flowers were exceptionally beautiful.  This time, I will offer a few words of explanation or comment only when necessary - I think these pretty pictures speak for themselves!

Below is the limited-edition, 28-piece Camelot Castle, with the center turret and tower vases filled with gorgeous green and pink flowers. Wouldn’t this Castle be the perfect centerpiece at a luxurious wedding? It would be just as wonderful set on a dining table or in a grand entryway.

Below is our Atalanta Wine Cooler filled with beautiful red roses and branches with small red flowers.  Normally reserved for Champagne and wine bottles, this piece looks fantastic filled with blooms!

A very striking and unusual color combination makes the table below really “pop”.  Vita Goblets and High Ball Tumblers are complemented by Sophie and Liza Vases in Grey.

Here are the new Adele Vases and Alicia Candlesticks.  The lilacs in the vase on the right gave off their lovely faint perfume, making us all think of Spring.

Here is most of the new Garland pattern from the Country Collection, gathered together on and accented with flowers in purple hues.

Flower Magazine - Inez is an all-time best

image

Flower magazine has just transitioned from a quarterly to a bi-monthly title, so Margot Shaw and her talented team of editors decided to do an issue focusing on weddings for Jan/Feb 2014 (this was also appropriate since three Flower  editors had recently or were about to get married!).

For the “Flower Shop” feature, Margaret Zainey Roux pulled together a collection of best-selling china, silver and crystal vases from some of the best vendors available.  Happily, William Yeoward Crystal's beautiful Inez Flower Center (or “Centre” as it is spelled in the UK) was included in this great group.

image

Below is the Inez Flower Center pictured alone.  This vase, with its unique shape and notch cutting, is versatile enough to include in most any decor.

image

Here is an image of the Inez Flower Center filled with flowers in our Showroom.  So pretty and classic - what a lovely wedding gift!

WYC barware gifts featured in Gotham, Capitol File & Boston Common

Here is another late post, but I couldn’t pass up sharing these beautiful photos of William Yeoward Crystal gift ideas for the Holidays, as featured in three Niche Media sister publications, Gotham (NYC), Capitol File (Washington DC) and Boston Common.

image

image

Interior designer Alexa Hampton selected crystal items for the bar, including our Jerry Cocktail Shaker.

image

Pictured above is the Jerry Shaker by itself - it would look very chic on anyone’s bar!

image

image

Olivier Servat, general manager at the W Hotel in Washington DC, selected a favorite Champagne as his go-to gift.  Of course a great bottle of bubbly should sit in a beautiful vessel, such as our Karen Champagne Bucket.

image

Pictured above is the Karen Champagne Bucket.  These buckets aren’t only for Champagne bottles and ice - they make beautiful and unexpected vases too!  Karen is also available in a smaller Ice Bucket.

Melanie DeCarolis, founder of the blog Kiss My Glass Boston, enjoys giving wine glasses and carafes as gifts.  Our Rachel Carafe is a perfect example.

Seen above is the Rachel Carafe, a gorgeous gift for anyone who loves wine.

Although these gifts were featured for the Holiday Season, they would also be great as wedding or anniversary gifts, or for that upcoming romantic holiday, Valentine’s Day!

William Yeoward Crystal at Holiday House

This post is a bit late - it was a very busy Holiday Season (thankfully!) and we have been in the midst of preparations for Gift Show. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it!

The eminent design firm of Cullman & Kravis is celebrating 30 years of providing lovely, classic design to their clients.  We were pleased to be asked to provide Frames by William Yeoward Crystal for their glamorous sitting room at Holiday House 2013.

image

Ellie Cullman & her talented design team used our frames to showcase some fun moments at work, adding a personal touch to this celebratory room.

Here is a closer look at the frames used in this room, our Classic Frames in Amber and Black:

Finally, here is a wider view of the entire room.  The combination of muted tones with fun punches of orange and gold make for a truly inviting space!

Gabrielle Candelabra featured in Elle Decor - setting the mood for the holidays!

William Yeoward Crystal’s Gabrielle 5-branch Candelabra is featured in the December issue of Elle Decor.  What better time to set your dinner table aglow than during the Holiday Season?

Below is the Gabrielle 5-branch Candelabra pictured by itself.  This candelabra comes in two pieces - the top separates from the base for easier cleaning and storage.  This hand-made candelabra has a graceful shape that would add elegance and romance to any dinner party or special affair.

The Gabrielle Candelabra also comes in 4-branch and 3-branch versions, pictured below:

William Yeoward Crystal is ho-ho-home for the Holidays in Southern Living

Two Southern celebrities and authors have incorporated William Yeoward Crystal into their festive Holiday tablescapes in the December issue of Southern Living!

Party and event planner extraordinaire Danielle Rollins adds our Pearl Stemware to her classic table setting, made fresh and fun with vibrantly colored flowers in a light and airy dining room.

Here is a closeup of the Pearl Stemware on Danielle’s table:

And here they are by themselves - the delicate, intricate engraving done by hand on these Pearl stems lend a special elegance to any setting.

Alex Hitz, who comes from Atlanta but resides in Beverly Hills, features our Cordelia Champagne Flutes on a tray with some delicious-looking nibbles.

Here is a closer look at Alex’s inviting tray:

And below is this flute, along with the rest of the Cordelia Stemware suite.  Grapes engraved on top give way to geometric patterns on the bottom of these stems.  Perfectly evocative of the fine wine and Champagne that is served in them!

Vesta & Betty with Bubbly in Brides

image

Brides features two stems by William Yeoward Crystal in a story about pink bubbly and beautiful stemware.  The Vesta Wine Glass comes in a shape suitable for Champagne (4th from left below), while the Betty Flute is made for bubbly (far right).

image

Here is the Vesta stemware group - from left, the Goblet, Flute, Wine and Martini.  You can mix and match patterns and use a glass to suit you - in this case the Vesta Wine is a bit shorter than the Vesta Flute, so a bride might prefer to use the Vesta Wine as her flute if the rest of her stemware had a lower profile.

image

And since she is cut off in the image in Brides, here is the Betty Flute.  One of our earliest introductions, Betty is an elegant classic!

Cocktails in Coupes featured in Coastal Living

image

Just in time for Thanksgiving, let’s look ahead to New Year’s Eve with a festive cocktail featuring orange juice, herbs and sparkling wine, photographed below in our fabulous Davina Coupes from William Yeoward Crystal.

Here is the Davina Coupe by itself - not just for Champagne, our coupes make a fun vessel for a variety of cocktails and desserts, too!

A nostalgic Georgia Thanksgiving in Southern Living

image

James Farmer, a designer and Editor-at-Large for Southern Living, takes a trip down memory lane with his Thanksgiving table.  From his great-grandmother’s turkey plates to the jars brought back from Japan by his grandparents, who honeymooned there (here used as vases), there are a lot of memories on this table.

image

William Yeoward Crystal’s classically elegant Claire Large Wine Glass works in harmony with these other items to create a table setting fit for a feast.  It’s fitting that our Georgian Period-inspired glasses have made their way to this setting in Georgia!

image

Below is the Claire suite of stemware, including the Flute, Goblet and Large Wine Glass.  Mix and match your inherited items with new pieces that you find and fall in love with - you’ll set a beautiful table and make new memories to cherish!

William Yeoward Crystal - perfect for “The American Home”

At the October Tabletop Show, Luxe Magazine sponsored the tables in the lobby of 41 Madison - the theme was “The American Home”, and the designer who created the vignettes was Scott Sanders.  Scott, who is known for having created Ralph Lauren’s Interior Design Department, is an accomplished designer with a quintessentially American eye.  And as you will see below, one of Scott’s many strengths is a keen eye for color!

"The Breakfast Room"  features our Amber Tumblers from the Country Collection, as seen below:

image

These tumblers pick up one of the secondary colors in the table cloth, also complemented by the handles of the flatware.

Here is the Amber Tumbler by itself:

Vita Goblets and Vita High Ball Tumblers in Green from the Crystal Collection make a fun color statement on the “Bar” below…image

… as well as on the bright and sunny “Patio” buffet setting seen here.  Note the Vita HB Tumblers used in a novel way to hold the flatware:

The Vita Collection brings show-stopping glamour and fun to any setting.  Here are the Goblets in 4 colors:

And the Highball Tumblers, available in the same 4 colors:

Finally, our Gold Oak Leaf Dish is a playful addition to this table, picking up on all the gold accents found in this setting:

The Oak Leaf Dish comes in the 13” and 8.5” sizes seen below, as well as 5” and 5.5” sizes:

Thanks to 41 Madison, Luxe Magazine and especially Scott Sanders for including us on these fabulous tables!

Tabletop October 2013 - Fall for Flowers!

The Tabletop Market is winding down, and I wanted to post some photos of the beautiful floral arrangements on the tables.  For this market, we went with a dramatic purple and dark red color scheme for the tables in the front of the Showroom.

image

The dark colors in the floral arrangement in the foreground below (done in an Inez 3-Piece Table Centerpiece) complements the dark blue of the tablecloth and the red of the Ruby Goblets.

image

Late peonies mix with dark purple foliage for a perfectly autumnal look in an Annette Vase:

image

White lilies are visually beautiful and smell lovely - seen here in our Cornelia Vase:

image

Bright orange tulips and lamb’s ear are seen in a Karen 9” Vase below, beside the show stopping Allegra Covered Vase:

image

The four vases in the foreground below (and also seen with the white flower arrangements of roses, tulips and freesia) are brand new pieces called Adele.  Beside them are the recently introduced Gabrielle Candelabras:

image

In the Country and American Bar area, we featured a Sophie Clear Vase with antique pink roses and mini pink roses, as well as a Wisteria Footed Rose Bowl with tulips, mini roses and ranunculus in orange and yellow hues:

It’s been a terrific Market; many thanks to all of the editors, retailers and designers who came to see us!
